Pro Tec Pool Party Weekend

Christian didn't get to skate because he was judging the contest along with Steve Olsen. I'm sure if he was able to skate he would've been able to have found himself on the podium. The creator of the Christ Air, Rocket Air, and the King of Style. Holmes rules!

1st place Pro Mens Rune Glifberg
1st place Masters Chris Miller, 2nd place Cab, and 3rd Nicky Guerrero
Paul Schmitt "The Professor" founder of P.S. Stix

Sergie Ventura transfer the square to round bowl. This was the first time this has ever been done! Yeah Sergie!

Rune Glifberg killed it....litterally. He walked away with $25,000 when it was all said and done. Benji Galloway frontside blunt
Omar Hassan no armed lein to tail

This guy just won $30G last month at the Ultimate Boarder contest. Surf, Skate, Snowboard, Aaron Astorga can do it all, and not just do it all, he rips at it all!
"Ho Hawaiian" in da house! Billy Deans and Roger from Skateboarder Magazine
What can I say, this guy is the reason we were all here for the weekend. Steve Van Doren the founder of Vans. He had a vision back in 66 and has been a vital part of the skateboard, surf, and snowboard industry for the past 4 decades. The only man I've ever seen who is always behind the grill and being such a kind and generous host at all Vans events. Never above it all to put in the work that someone else could be doing while he schmoozes. Not Steve Van Doren. Thanks Mr. Van Doren for being a big inspiration.
Another local braddah in da house. Pat Meyers
Wow!!!! Lance Mountain

Steve Steadham still going strong. One of the original Bones Brigaders along with Lance Mountain and Steve Caballero.

Day 3 Pro Tec Pool Party finally!

After K1 racing we headed on over to Long Beach to the Red Room for a few coldies with the crew from Florida and Alabama. The Red Room is the local corner bar where you can always find local skateboarders and hipsters alike lurkin' and loungin. Goodtimes!

This was our host for the entire trip Pete Dericks as well as the events coordinator and janitor for Vans. Thanks Pete for the hospitality.

Guys where putting their lives on the line for these highly coveted trophies! In the end 2 of the Vans heads Jared and Pete took first and second place respectively. They probably spend a couple nights a week at K1 practicing!
Florida and Alabama crew cooling down after the race.

After Nick and I's ride we went looking for Dyson our other brother from Hawaii. I'd heard he was in town even though I had just talked to him the day before and he was in Hawaii. He was in LA alright!

Dyson is everywhere now a days! He's bummin'(hahahaha)!

On day 2 of my trip Nick and I went for a ride down to the beach to start our day off. Nick on his new Buell and me on Big B's old Sporty. Stoked!

Back in Cali again, time to go get stuck in some serious traffic.

Look at who it is! The newest LA transplant from Hawaii....brother Nick.
